Review: Well & Good Hypoallergenic Dog Wipes (2018)

Grooming wipes can come in really handy, especially if you take a lot of adventures with your pup. These versatile wipes can clean paws before loading your dog in a vehicle, remove dirt and debris from your dog's coat between baths and keep your pet's face clean. Well & Good Hypoallergenic Dog Wipes are one of the best options available for dogs with skin sensitivities.

Your dog's overall health and well-being starts with his skin and coat. Did you know that the skin is the largest organ of the body? Not only is it the first defense for what is inside the body – bones, organs and muscles – but it also helps to regulate his temperature.

It also reflects well on you if your dog's skin and coat look healthy. When other pet owners or professionals – like groomers, veterinarians or dog walkers – see your dog's healthy, shiny coat, they know that you take good care of your pooch.

Grooming wipes are a handy tool to have in your grooming toolkit. You can use them to keep your dog smelling fresh and looking good in between baths. Just remember that these wipes should not be used as a substitute for regular bathing. Now, let's take a closer look at the Well & Good Hypoallergenic Dog Wipes to see if they'll be a good option for your pet.

Well & Good Hypoallergenic Dog Wipes Review

Well & Good Hypoallergenic Dog WipesAs the name suggests, these dog grooming wipes are hypoallergenic and made especially for dogs with sensitive skin. While they have deodorizing properties, they're also fragrance-free. This means that they will wipe away odors without leaving behind a strong, perfumey smell.

I also like that these wipes are a little bit bigger than other similar products. They measure 8″ X 10″, while many similar products are only 8″ X 7″. The Well & Good Hypoallergenic Dog Wipes may be too big for extra small and small breeds, but they're an excellent choice for large dogs.

It's nearly impossible to find the ingredients used in making these wipes, which is a big drawback for me. I researched for more than an hour trying to find a list of ingredients, but no online retailers share the information. The ingredients are not listed on the packaging either.

THIS PRODUCT IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE

While they don't share all of the ingredients, the company does state that the wipes do include:

  • oatmeal to soothe skin
  • aloe vera for moisturizing the skin and coat
  • baking soda to fight odors
  • Vitamin A & D to promote healthy skin and coat

In my video review I show you how easy it is to use Well & Good Hypoallergenic Dog Wipes and how much dirt and shed hair they removed from our Labrador, Saddie. They work well, but they're not as thick as some other dog grooming wipes that I've used.

They work well to remove mud and debris, but if your dog has something sticky in his coat the wipes may rip if you try to scrub too hard.

In the video review above, I demonstrate how easily my finger can tear through these wipes, and the same is true for your dog's nails. Trying to scrub the rough pads of a dog's paws may also rip the wipe.

A 100-count package (which comes in the dispenser featured in my video review) can be purchased on Amazon for $12.99. These Well & Good wipes are slightly more expensive than some other similar products, but they're still very affordable. It's common for hypoallergenic products to be more expensive, so I wasn't surprised by the price.
