However, you need to keep in mind that your dog is attached to your waist, so a system like this won't work if you've got issues with balance or your dog is not well leash trained.

TaoTronics Hands Free Dog Leash System Review
The TaoTronics Hands Free Dog Leash System is similar to other products of its kind. It consists of two parts – a belt for the dog walker and a leash to attach the pet. Unlike some similar products, this one doesn't come with a collar. You can use any collar or harness of your choosing, which is important for me, as I am very picky about the harnesses that my dog's wear.
The belt is easily adjustable, and can expand or contract to fit virtually anyone. There are 2 D-rings on the belt that you can attach the leash to. This is also great for owners of multiple dogs that want to walk two pups at once.

This leash system is available in 3 colors – blue, green and pink. In my video review, you'll notice that the leash has two bungee sections that act as shock absorbers. These bungees safely absorb the pull of a dog weighing up to 150 pounds.
Just remember that a rambunctious dog that isn't well leash trained is not a good match for a hands free system. The belt wraps around your waist, so if your rowdy dog incessantly pulls it's going to be uncomfortable and could possibly cause you injury.
My favorite feature of the TaoTronics Hands Free Dog Leash System is the fact that the leash is equipped with dual handles that allow you to take full control of your pet when necessary.
This is a great feature for pet owners who worry about their dogs when they are being approached by a strange person or another animal. It comes in very handy when we are hiking with our Labrador, because I can take full control of her when we meet other hikers on the trail.
Both the leash and belt are made with reflective stitching, which is a must-have feature if you walk your dog in dimly lit areas or at dawn and/or dusk. As you'll see in my video review above, the leash stretches to 63″ long, making this system from TaoTronics appropriate for virtually any size dog.
The biggest drawback to this system is that the belt has no padding. It's a simple nylon belt, and I prefer using systems that offer padding around the back and sides of the belt. It may be more necessary for people, like me, who frequently hike with their dog over rough terrain. But, I prefer a padded belt even for our regular daily walks down the street.
You can purchase the TaoTronics Hands Free Dog Leash System on Amazon for about $18. That's much cheaper than other hands free systems that can cost more thatn $50. TaoTronics made this system affordable for every pet owner, and that's a huge benefit!
