- 1 medium to large sweet potato
- 1 tbsp. melted coconut oil
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 tbsp. turmeric
Directions
Preheat your oven to 425°.
First, you'll need to wash the sweet potato. Keep in mind that you can use multiple potatoes, I just used one for the purpose of this recipe demonstration.
Cut the sweet potato into long, skinny fry shaped pieces. If you have a french fry press, you could obviously use that for easier prepping.
In a large resealable bag, add the sweet potato slices, melted coconut oil and spices. Give the bag a good shake until the fries are evenly coated with oil and spices. Then, place the fries on a cookie sheet in a single layer. If you use multiple potatoes, you may need to use more than one cookie sheet.
Bake them on one side for about 15 minutes, and then flip the fries over for even baking. Bake them for another 15 minutes on the other side.
Once their finished, you can store these sweet potato fries for dogs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for about 5-7 days.
