A French Bulldog, who was stolen during a burglary, has been reunited with her owner.

According to Essex Police, the French Bulldog named Pearl was stolen during an aggravated burglary at a home in Halstead at around 8:20 AM last May 24 near Winston Way, Halstead.

Officers launched a search to find Pearl since then. They have searched multiple locations, watched hours of CCTV footage, and spoken to several local residents in the area in an effort to try and find Pearl.

According to Detective Sergeant Luke Howard from Braintree CID:

“We are absolutely delighted that Pearl is now safely where she belongs, and I’m sure she’ll be thoroughly enjoying cuddles and treats for many days to come,” said 

“We never underestimate the devastating impact that these crimes have on owners.

“Many of us work with courageous Police Dog sidekicks or have four-legged children at home and couldn’t bear to be apart.

“Pearl’s owner has expressed their gratitude to everyone who supported the appeal and contacted us, telling us of Pearl’s whereabouts.

“Now our focus returns to continuing our investigation to bring the people responsible to justice.”

In relation to the inquiry, two people have been detained on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
