Salmon is a very nutritious food for dogs. However, if salmon isn’t available in your area, you can substitute other healthy fish. Herring, Tuna, Cod and Flounder are all safe fish choices for dogs. These fish are usually less likely to have high mercury levels or parasites.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups brown rice
  • 16 ounces frozen peas
  • 2 large carrots (shredded)
  • 75 ounces canned salmon (in oil)
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat bread crumbs
  • 2 tbsp. ground flaxseed

Instructions

This recipe is extremely easy to make. The only ingredient that requires cooking is the brown rice. Boil it according to the instructions on the packaging.

Once the rice is finished, mix all of the ingredients together in a large mixing bowl. When the rice has cooled, you can feed this salmon dinner for dogs according to the serving size guidelines below.
