Review: Rescue Box Dog Subscription Box (2018)

As pet lovers, we try to give back to animals in need whenever we can. Donating to shelters and rescue organizations is one of the easiest ways to do that. The Rescue Box dog subscription box makes it easy to give back, because every box sold benefits a non-profit organization that distributes food and vaccinations to animal welfare organizations.

There are other dog subscription boxes that donate a portion of their proceeds, so what makes the Rescue Box dog subscription box special? I'll give you those details in a moment, but first you need to know what to look for when shopping for a subscription box for your pet.

Rescue Box Dog Subscription Box ReviewWhile it's nice to give back to animals in need, you also have to make sure that the products inside the box will be suitable for your pet. Does your Fido have food allergies or digestive sensitivities? Does he like certain types of toys better than others?

You also have to find a box that provides a good value for the money, while still sending you products that are safe, effective and healthy for your pup. To get a better idea of the types of dog supplies that you can expect to find inside the Rescue Box, keep reading. If you want to see how it stacks up against similar products, check out some of the other dog subscription boxes that I've reviewed:

Rescue Box Dog Subscription Box Review

Rescue Box Dog Subscription Box ReviewRescue Box has partnered with GreaterGood.org‘s Rescue Bank. They donate part of the proceeds from the sale of each box to this non-profit organization. The funds are used to distribute food to animal welfare groups across the United States. In fact, they donated more than 50 million pounds of food to animals in need last year!

You can expect to find toys, treats, chews and doggy accessories worth at least $40 in every Rescue Box dog subscription box. Most of the treats and chews are made in the United States, but some are also from USDA facilities in Canada and South America. They never use products from China.

You can get a Rescue Box for dogs or cats. Unfortunately, you can only customize these boxes based on your dog's size. I wish there were more options, such as the types of toys included, the type of chewer that your dog is, food allergies or digestive sensitivities.

Rescue Box Dog Subscription Box ReviewAs I mentioned, the proceeds for every box sold benefits animals in need. If you subscribe for 1 month, you'll be providing the funds to vaccinate 2 shelter pets and donate 5 pounds of food. If you subscribe for 3 months, you'll be providing the funds to vaccinate 6 shelter pets and donate 15 pounds of food.

If you subscribe for 6 months, you'll be providing the funds to vaccinate 12 shelter pets and donate 60 pounds of food. If you subscribe for 12 months, you'll be providing the funds to vaccinate 24 shelter pets and donate 60 pounds of food.

A Rescue Box dog subscription box will cost:

  • $29.95 per month for a 1 month subscription
  • $27.95 per month for a 3 month subscription
  • $25.45 per month for a 6 month subscription
  • $23.45 per month for a 12 month subscription

Shipping to locations in the continental United States is free, but it's an additional $5.95 per month for locations in Hawaii and Alaska. For more detailed information about the items that I received in my Rescue Box dog subscription box, check out my unboxing video:
