Ozzy, a pit bull who longs for cats to care for, finally got his wish granted when he received a litter of kittens to love, lick, and look after.
Meet Ozzy. He lives in southern California, and was adopted 4 years ago by a loving family. Ozzy’s family comes complete with two parents and 3 human siblings.
Ozzy loves his family, and especially the kids.
He has a lot of love to give. He can frequently be seen running up to baby strollers, sticking his head in, and kissing babies. He just wants to love everyone.
His owner, Jennifer Lajeniss, jokes that if a robber were to come to the house, Ozzy would hold the flashlight for him and ask him all about his day, just before showing him where the TV is.
For years, this pitty has been trying to win the affection of the family cat, Norm. But Ozzy’s love is unrequited by the old feline, and it has left him feeling a little down and rejected. He so badly wants cats to love.
Ozzy loves his life, but has always wanted just one small addition to the family (or several): this dog ADORES kittens.
Recently, Ozzy’s wish was granted, and his life got about five times better, because he got 5 kittens to look after!

This past summer, Lajeniss discovered a pregnant cat in need. Winnie was a street cat found roaming around Lajeniss’ neighborhood.
Lajeniss was really worried about Winnie’s well-being, so she took her in to make sure she had a safe birth and a warm place for her babies.
Winnie recently gave birth to five kittens, and Ozzy found his soul’s true calling as a kitten foster dad.
Like when Lajeniss’ son was a baby, Ozzy is very attentive to the kittens, and gets concerned every time he hears them crying.
And the kittens adore Ozzy right back. They crawl on him, and love when he gives them baths. Ozzy loves giving the baths just as much as they love getting them!
Lajeniss reports that Ozzy has been completely happy ever since he has been allowed to start attending to the baby cats.
Even Winnie likes Ozzy. She rubs up against him, perhaps as a sign of “thank you” when he takes over kitten duties and it affords her a much needed break.
Now, you might be thinking about what will happen for Ozzy when the kittens have to get new homes.
When they are old enough, they will be adopted out. But luckily, Winnie and one kitten (named Troublemaker) will remain in the family’s home forever.
It seems Ozzy has found his true place in the world as a giver and receiver of all the love a dog could ever imagine – and then some.
