Review: King Kalm CBD Dog Treats and Wellness Products

Cannabidiol, also referred to as CBD, is a substance extracted from the hemp plant. It has been shown to be an effective treatment for many ailments in both humans and canines.

It may be surprising to learn, but CBD has been used in the treatment of animals for decades! While drops of CBD oil are more potent, products like King Kalm Crunch make it easy to give your pooch a dose of CBD.

As you may have expected, CBD is a controversial treatment option in both the human and animal medical fields.

There is also not a lot of research on the subject at this time, due to the fact that it is a relatively new treatment. Many veterinarians will not condone treatment with CBD due to this lack of definitive research.

King Kalm ReviewAs this treatment is still relatively new, there are many studies being done on the effects of CBD on health conditions such as anxiety, arthritis, and cancer in dogs.

So far, the research looks very positive and extremely promising.

Before you decide to use cannabidiol as a treatment for your pet, be sure to do adequate research. Learn about the science behind CBD.

It's also important to research the quality of the products that you're buying to ensure they will be safe and effective for your pet.

It's also important to have a conversation with your veterinarian before adding CBD to your dog's treatment plan.

If your vet isn't open to the idea of treatment with CBD, you may want to consider seeking the help of a holistic veterinarian.

Holistic veterinarians are typically more open to exploring options other than traditional Western medicine.

King Kalm CBD Dog Treats and Wellness Products Review

King Kalm ReviewKing Kalm Soothe

Before I tell you about the CBD-infused treats, I'll share some information about King Kalm Soothe. It is a topical spray formulated with cannabidiol to treat hot spots, dermatitis, and skin abrasions.

The CBD in this solution helps to reduce pain, inflammation, and itching.

While I wasn't able to test the effectiveness of this spray with my dogs (because they don't suffer from hot spots and don't currently have any skin abrasions), CBD has been shown to reduce all of these symptoms.

I have no reason to believe that it wouldn't be effective.

King Kalm ReviewAs I demonstrate in my video review, I've sprayed King Kalm Soothe on our pets many times.

It leaves the skin and coat shiny without leaving an oily residue behind.

It also has a mild odor, unlike other hot spot treatments that I've tried that have a strong chemical smell.

I like that Soothe is made with natural oils and no harmful chemicals. Chemicals can dry out the skin, irritating it even more. This spray is also safe if ingested, so no worries if your pup licks it off.

Ingredients: Natural Hemp Seed Oil, Cannabidiol (CBD), Chamomile, Colloidal Silver, Aloe Vera, and Tea Tree Oil.

King Kalm Crunch

These CBD dog cookies are made with organic ingredients and are formulated by a licensed Holistic Physician and Nutritionist.

They are gluten-free. These treats are dehydrated at a low temperature, which helps to maintain as many of the natural nutrients as possible.

King Kalm ReviewThese CBD dog treats are laboratory tested to ensure the dose potency is accurate. They come in 3 flavors:

  • Blueberry Apple Flax Blaze
  • Organic Apple Cinnamon Summer
  • Honey Roasted Almond Flax

King Kalm Crunch dog treats are made with CBD oil, so they are 100% THC-free. THC, or tetrahydrocannabinol, is the psychoactive ingredient in marijuana. To put it plainly, your dog will not get high after eating these treats.

Dog treats infused with CBD have been shown to help dogs with stress and anxiety issues. They have also been said to be effective at helping with pain, swelling, and inflammation due to arthritis or injury recovery.

They can also be beneficial for dogs who are healing after surgery or dealing with the pain associated with chemotherapy treatments.

Ingredients: Blueberry Apple: flax blaze: blueberries, sweet potatoes, eggs, diced apples, honey, oat flour, and flax seeds. Organic Cinnamon Summer: organic apples, cinnamon, oat flour, turmeric, and black peppercorn.

Honey Roasted Almond Flax: almond, eggs, honey, rolled oats, oat flour, turmeric, and black peppercorn.

King Kalm ReviewI tried the Blueberry flavor, and I noticed the blueberry scent as soon as I opened the package.

I love knowing that the treats I feed my dogs are made with real, whole-food ingredients.

As you can see in my video review above, our dogs do enjoy eating King Kalm Crunch treats.

Depending on the size of your dog and whether you're treating it for medicinal or therapeutic purposes, you'll only need to feed 1-2 treats per day.

One bag will last about a month unless you have multiple dogs.

Neither of these products is available on Amazon yet, but you can purchase them through the company's website.

King Kalm Soothe retails for $19.99 for a 4-ounce spray bottle. King Kalm Crunch CBD Dog Treats sells for $34.99 per bag.

Soothe is competitively priced with other natural, holistic hot spot sprays. However, King Kalm Crunch is a bit higher priced than other CBD dog treats.

You also get more treats per day than other competitive products, and some similar treats require you to feed upwards of 5 treats per day to a large dog.

So, I still feel that both products are a good value for the money.
