This is a n95 pm2.5 mask. That means that it blocks 95% of particulate matter measuring 2.5 micrometers or less. Particles of this size are about 30 times smaller than the width of human hair.
In the photo above you can see the zipper across the top of the muzzle. Inside that zipper is an activated carbon filter. The carbon filter protects against smoke, smog, mold, emissions, toxins, allergens, bacteria, chemicals, etc…
