Review: Eazee Dog Deshedding Tool by Foolee

I love my dogs. The benefits of being a dog owner far outweigh the responsibilities associated with their care. That being said, one of the few complaints that I do have is one shared with many owners – dog hair. Brushing your dog regularly with a product like the Eazee dog deshedding tool will help to eliminate some of the shed hair that falls off around your home.

All dogs shed, at least a little bit. Likewise, all dogs need a good brushing to keep their coat shiny and clean. Did you know that regular brushing is actually beneficial for your dog's skin and coat health? If you use the right type of brush, it will gently massage the skin, stimulating the glands to produce the necessary oils to keep the coat moisturized and healthy.

As you brush through the coat, these oils are spread all around. What I'm tell you is, brushing your dog regularly is more than just a beneficial grooming practice – it's imperative for your pet's overall health and well-being!

So, is the Eazee dog deshedding tool right for you and your Fido? Let's find out!

Eazee Dog Deshedding Tool ReviewThe biggest difference between the Eazee dog deshedding tool and other similar products is its comb. Most deshedding tools use a steel blade, but the comb for this one is made of a composite plastic material. It is constructed from anti-static material, so the hair can easily slide off without sticking to the plastic.

This plastic may not be as durable as stainless steel, but it's well made and I have no doubt that it will last a long time. Also, the plastic teeth have a rounded end that is less likely to scratch your dog's skin if too much pressure is applied to the grooming tool.

The Eazee dog deshedding tool comes with two plastic combs, and as you'll see in my video review above, they are easily interchangeable. The white comb is for daily grooming of dogs with thin or thick fur. The black comb is for more intense grooming, like deshedding a dog with a thick coat.

Eazee dog deshedding toolThe combs are specifically designed to remove dead hair and leave the living hair alone. This reduces the likelihood that you'll pull your pet's hair and cause him pain.

My favorite feature of this product is the removable head. As you'll see in my video review, it's easy to pull the head of the brush off just by squeezing the two release buttons on either side of the handle.

What's even better is that the company sells many different additional heads that fit right on the same handle! It's cheaper than buying a bunch of different grooming tools if you have multiple dogs or one pooch that has intensive grooming needs. The additional heads include everything from bristle and pin brushes to a dematting tool and many different combs.

There are 6 colors available. You can see the pink option in my video review and the photos above. You can also choose from red, blue, purple, yellow and green. It's also available in 3 sizes:

  • Small – for dogs weighing 1 to 22 pounds
  • Medium – for dogs weighing 22 to 45 pounds
  • Large – for dogs weighing more than 45 pounds

Like many grooming brushes, the Eazee dog deshedding tool ranges in price depending on the size you need. The small brush costs $30, the medium $35 and the large brush will cost you $40. It's not available on Amazon yet, but you can buy them through the company's website.

This price is pretty comparable to other grooming tools, but keep in mind that you're getting a plastic comb instead of one made of stainless steel. I expected that it would sell for a bit cheaper than models that use high quality steel.
