A dog crashed a wedding in Brazil, and the reaction of the young couple was priceless.
Matheus and Marília were in the middle of celebrating their biggest day together when an unexpected guest showed up and changed everything.
The couple, from São Paulo, Brazil, already had had their plans derailed by unanticipated weather. They had originally planned an outdoor wedding, but rain forced them inside at the last minute. They had to perform the ceremony under a tent.
Many people attempted to fit under the tent to stay warm and dry – and then a dog came in attempting to avoid the weather, too!
While everyone was sitting down and attempting to organize themselves, a lonely stray dog came waltzing into the ceremony in search of shelter, and maybe a little food or affection while he was at it.
People kept attempting to get the wet and muddy dog out so he wouldn’t negatively impact the ceremony, but the persistent pup kept coming back in.
Things reached a climactic and hilarious peak when the bridal chorus came, and it wasn’t the bride to come out first – it was this dog.
Again, the dog was forced outside by the guests so they could attempt to get on with a proper wedding. Order returned, and the bride commenced her walk down the aisle.
The couple joined one another, and as they read their vows – the dog came back!
This time, he was determined to be noticed. He laid down stubbornly, directly on Marília’s veil. There, the exhausted dog actually fell asleep.
At this point, nobody had it in them to throw the dog out again into the storm – especially not Marília, who is a lover of animals.
She happily shared her spot (and spotlight) with the helpless pup.
The bride actually described it as a pleasant surprise, and was glad to provide the dog some comfort.
The dog was permitted to stay for the rest of the reception. In fact, guests took a cute from the star couple and became more welcoming to the dog.

Once the night was coming to an end, Matheus looked for the dog. But apparently he had sauntered back outside when the rain had let up.
For most people, this would be where the tale ends. But not for this couple.
The same night as their wedding, the couple started searching for the dog, and didn’t stop. They wanted to adopt him and make him a permanent guest in their household.
After more than a week, they finally received notice of the dog’s location. They went and got him, and brought him home.
Snoop, as they affectionately named the dog, received food, water and a bath as soon as he got to their home. Marília reports that he slept very well his first night there.
One can imagine the huge amount of relief and happiness Snoop felt at that time!
This couple was blessed enough to be able to form a family on the very day of their wedding, albeit haphazardly and in a hilarious way.
It seems that Snoop was truly meant to be in the lives of Marília and Matheus, and they were meant to show him love for the rest of his life.
