I make this recipe in my pressure cooker, but you could also use a slow cooker. The only difference is that you will need to cook it longer in a slow cooker.

If you work outside the home, this recipe is a great alternative to meals that you have to prepare daily. In just a few hours you’ll have a fresh, delicious meal to serve your pup. Plus, you can make the food in bulk so you only have to cook once a week or so.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds of boneless pork (chopped)
  • 2 cups asparagus (chopped)
  • 2 cups beets (chopped)
  • 2 cups white potatoes (chopped)
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed
  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ tsp rosemary
  • ¼tsp clove
  • ¼ tsp basil

Instructions

Add all of the ingredients to the crock pot in the order that they are listed above. Secure the lid and cook on low for 4-6 hours. If you are using a pressure cooker instead, add all of the ingredients in the order listed above and cook on high for 1 hour.

When the recipe is finished cooking, it will be easy to mix all of the ingredients together and shred the pork in the process. Once the food has cooled you can feed it to your dog.
