Carob is made from the pod of a carob tree. There is a sweet pulp inside the pod that is dried, roasted and then ground into a powder. It has a nuttier flavor than cocoa that is appetizing to both dogs and people.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups oat flour
  • ½ cup carob powder
  • 1 egg
  • ½ cup unsweetened applesauce
  • ½ cup canned pumpkin
  • ⅓ cup creamy peanut butter

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350° Farenheit.

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Combine all of the ingredients in a mixing bowl. Mix well until it forms a smooth dough.

You can make small drop cookies, like I do in my video guide above. You could also roll out the dough and use cookie cutters to make them into cute shapes.

No matter what shape you make them in, place your carob dog biscuits on the parchment paper lined cookie sheet. Bake them for 25-30 minutes in the 350˚ oven.
