Each month, the BarkBox dog subscription box will contain at least 2 innovative toys, 2 all-natural bags of dog treats, and 1 chew. The only option is currently to subscribe for monthly deliveries, but there are other similar boxes that allow for by-monthly or quarterly deliveries if you desire.
My favorite thing about this dog subscription box from BarkBox is that every month has a different theme. Some of the past themes have been New York City, a safari theme, and one box even had a western theme.
For this reason, I think BarkBox is the best choice for anyone looking to give a dog subscription box as a gift.
While it makes a great gift, you can only customize the BarkBox dog subscription box to your pet's size. Other similar subscription boxes allow pet parents to customize the products they receive depending on their pup's allergies, age, and even flavor preferences.
I received the classic BarkBox. It included two plush toys. I can say that they were well-made and durable for a plush toy, but they were still just that – plush dog toys. If you have an aggressive/power chewer or a dog that enjoys shredding toys, these toys won't hold up more than a few days with your pup.
Thankfully, BarkBox has two other options for dogs that are tough chewers. The heavy chewer box is a FREE upgrade to any subscription, and it includes more durable toys with the same theme. The toys in these boxes are made with stronger materials – like puncture resistant, ballistic-grade nylon and tough rubber.
With the super chewer box, your dog gets heavy-duty chews, all-natural treats, and challenging, strong toys. Plus, if your dog is able to ruin one of the toys, BarkBox will send you another for FREE!
The BarkBox dog subscription box is priced reasonably for the amount of products that you will get every month. It's one of the lower-priced subscription boxes for dogs compared to other boxes that offer the same quantity and quality.
Prices for the classic and heavy chewer boxes are:
