American Red Cross Debuts Pet First Aid App

Most adults would know what to do in the event of an accident or emergency involving humans, but what if your dog was in a similar situation? The American Red Cross just released a pet first aid app for people that may not know exactly what to do if their dog has a sudden medical issue.

The app provides step-by-step instructions, pictures, and videos that will show pet owners what to do until they can get their animal to the vet. It offers help with 25 different emergency situations including cut paws, ingesting poison, and cardiac issues.

The app is available to both Android and iPhone users for only $.99. The Red Cross does stress that the app should not be used in place of taking your dog to the vet, but as a source of information on how to help your pet until you get there.
