Every dog needs a quality bed, and there are no exceptions to this rule. Whether your dog is old or young, large or small, he needs a quality bed to sleep on. The ibiyaya Deep Sleep Dog Bed is designed to evenly distribute your pet's weight and support him as he rests.
Choosing a dog bed is no easy task. You definitely can't make your selection based solely on price. When it comes to dog beds, you get what you pay for. Higher quality beds aren't going to be cheap, but they will outlast low quality beds by years!
Higher quality beds use orthopedic foam that won't flatten under your pet's weight. They're made with products that will last for years. Cheap beds are stuffed with poly fill and will flatten after just a few months time.
While you may spend more money on a better bed, you won't be replacing it a few times each year. In the long run, a higher quality dog bed will pay for itself.
Most pet owners think that any blankets or soft bedding will be sufficient for their dog to sleep on. However, a high quality mattress can prevent potential arthritis issues and/or alleviate any joint pain that your dog is already experiencing.
A top quality bed also provides insulation for your pooch all year round. It will keep him up off of the cold floor in the winter and insult to help cool him in the summer months. Studies have also shown that dogs quickly take a liking to comfortable beds and prefer their own bed over dog crates, mats or other products.
Our dogs have slept on a lot of beds. Recently, they've been napping on this ibiyaya Deep Sleep Dog Bed. What do they think? What's my opinion of this dog bed and the value that it offers for the price? I'll explain all of that and more in this review.
ibiyaya Deep Sleep Dog Bed Reveiw
This bed is made of 2.75” thick POE foam. This is the most unique dog bed material that I've ever seen. I have to admit, I was skeptical at first. It looks and feels more like plastic that foam, so I wasn't sure if my dogs would find it to be comfortable.
The foam is made with air fiber cores that do not lose shape, deform or shrink. It bounces back almost instantly, even after long hours of use. The high elasticity of POE adapts to the shape of your dog's body, providing support for his spine and joints.
This bed also features high-density foam bolsters. These are a must for me. As you can see in the photo above, my dogs enjoy sleeping next to each other. I like beds with bolsters to prevent them from sliding off the edge. They also like using the bolsters as pillows.
The ibiyaya Deep Sleep Dog Bed has earned many certifications and passed BV Safety Testing to make sure it is free of harmful chemicals or heavy metals. The POE material will not be harmful to your pet if it is accidentally ingested.
My favorite thing about this bed is that the POE foam won’t hold smells like traditional bed foam, cushions or mattresses. My dogs don't have accidents on their beds, but their beds will still get a stinky “dog odor” after a couple weeks of use.
Not only will the foam not hold odors, the cover of this bed can be removed and is machine washable. This is another must for me. I won't buy a dog bed that doesn't have a washable cover.
The Deep Sleep Dog Bed from ibiyaya is available in 3 sizes:
- M – 33”L x 25”W x 6”H
- L – 39”L x 28”W x 6”H
- XL – 45”L x 35”W x 6”H
The bed shown in my review is the extra large size. I chose the tan color, as well, but the bed is also available in brick red or royal blue.
The only drawback to this dog bed is the price. As I mentioned, you get what you pay for when it comes to dog beds. If you buy a cheap poly fill bed for $40, you'll have to replace it at least 3 times per year. That means you'll be spending at least $120 per year on dog beds.
The ibiyaya Deep Sleep Dog Bed retails for $175-$295 depending on the size that you need. While that won't fit into everyone's budget, it will save you money in the long run.
My dogs have been sleeping on this bed for months, and it's not showing any signs of wear at all. I do believe we will have this bed for many years, so in my opinion it is a good value for the money.
