Every dog needs a bed, whether he's a large or small breed. Even if your pup sleeps in your bed every night, he still needs a bed of his own to rest in during the day. If your pet likes to nuzzle and “nest”, the PetFusion Calming Cuddler Dog Bed may be the best choice.
This pet bed features a bolster, memory foam, and a soft, comfy cover with extra material for burrowing and kneading. There are many different types of beds to choose from, and you need to consider your dog's needs when making your choice.
If you notice that your dog tries to find a place to sleep where he can rest his head on a pillow or armrest, you should look into buying him a bolster bed. A bolster bed is also a good choice for dogs that like to stretch out. The bolster gives them something to press up against and prevents them from falling off of their bed.
Memory foam is also a good choice to provide the best support for your pet's body. Cheaper dog beds that are stuffed with polyfil will go flat after a few months. While you'll be spending less money on each bed, you'll have to replace them frequently which will cost more in the long run.
My dogs have been using the PetFusion Calming Cuddler Dog Bed for a few months now. It's still holding its original shape. My nesters have scratched, pulled, and pawed at the bed multiple times each day, and the cover is showing no signs of wear. Is this dog bed worth the price tag? Keep reading to find out!
PetFusion Calming Cuddler Dog Bed Review
This dog bed is available in 2 sizes. I have the Medium size that measures 30″L x 24″W x 10″H. There is also a Small size that measures 25″L x 21″W x 8″H. As you can see in my video review, the bed is a great size for my smaller (35-40 pound) dogs, but my Labrador (75 pounds) doesn't fit on it very well.
The loose blanket attached to the top of the bed fosters a dog's natural instinct to burrow and nest into their bedding. It helps to calm anxious and/or stressed pets. My dogs also like to “bury” their treats and toys in the blanket.
If you have a chewer, this bed may not be the best option. The extra fabric and soft, plush feel may entice destructive chewers or dogs that like to shred.
I like the colors of this bed. The neutral ivory and grey blend into any decor. The PetFusion Calming Cuddler Dog Bed also has a non-skid bottom, so it won't slide around on hard floors.
The interior of the bed is made of Certi-PUR-US memory foam. It provides support for all dogs, but is especially beneficial for dogs with arthritis or other hip and bone problems. In fact, research has shown that provide young dogs with high quality beds can help to postpone hip and joint problems and help to alleviate symptoms once the condition arises.
The cover of the bed is removable and machine washable. It can also be tumble dried on a gentle setting. I've spot cleaned the cover a couple of times with warm water and a mild cleanser.
You can purchase the PetFusion Calming Cuddler Dog Bed on Amazon for $52.45-$69.95, depending on the size your dog needs. While it's not the cheapest option, I would definitely say that this bed is worth the cost.
The quality, ease of cleaning and the comfort level for your pet are all impressive. I wish is was available in a larger size, but the company may release a larger bed in the future. If you have a small or medium breed that isn't a destructive chewer, I would certainly recommend this dog bed.
