Making your dog homemade treats is an easy way to boost his nutrition. Commercial dog treats made with high quality ingredients are usually quite expensive.
Making homemade treats allows you to control the ingredients used, while also keeping the cost low. These oat dog biscuits use limited ingredients and are very simple to prepare.
When you make your own dog treats, you get to choose the ingredients that are used. Select the healthiest ingredients that you can afford.
The best choice is to use fresh, whole food ingredients that are organic and all-natural.
Most commercial dog treats don't offer a lot of nutritional value.
Not only can you choose high quality ingredients for your homemade treats, you can also cater the recipe to meet your dog's unique nutritional needs.
For example, if your dog cannot have oats, you could substitute ground flaxseed, quinoa flakes, rice bran, or chia seeds.
