Review: Dogsee Chew Yak Milk Chews and Treats

Finding chews that can stand up to a dog's powerful jaws can be tricky. There are many different types of chews available, but not all are safe for your pet. Yak chews, like those from Dogsee Chew, are one option that is healthy, durable, and easy to digest.

As the name suggests, these chews are made primarily from yak milk. They are essentially a very hard cheese chew. Yak chews put off very minimal odor, so they are more appealing to pet owners who can't stand the putrid smell of other types of chews.

Dogsee Chew Small | 100% Natural Himalayan Yak Chews | Smoke Dried | Long Lasting Healthy Treats for Active Chewers | Helps Fight Plaque & Tartar | (3 Bars) Chews like this are very high in protein, so they offer additional nutrition along with satisfying your dog's need to chew. However, if your dog is on a low protein diet, you'll want to try a non-edible dog chew option.

There are many different sizes and brands of yak chews to choose from, so how do Dogsee Chew Yak Milk Chews and Treats compare? Let's take a look at the details of these chews to help you decide whether or not they are right for your canine companion.

Dogsee Chew Yak Milk Chews and Treats Review

Dogsee Chew ReviewYak Milk Bars

There are just three ingredients in these dog chews – smoked dried yak milk, lime juice, and salt. They are smoked for 35 days, which is what makes them so hard. Unlike animal ears and bully sticks, they have an unnoticeable odor. They are also 100% digestible and much easier on your dog's digestive tract than rawhides and other similar dog chews.

Yak Milk Bars are all-natural, which is a huge benefit for me. Many dog chews, like rawhides, are coated with an artificial flavoring that is made with chemicals and dyes. While the main ingredient in these types of chews might be all-natural, the flavorings and preservatives are often artificial and dangerous to your dog.

Dogsee Chew Yak Milk Bars are free of grains, gluten, chemicals, preservatives, and artificial flavorings.

As you will see in my video review above, our Labrador, Saddie, can chomp on these chews for many hours without breaking them. They are unbelievably durable!

It takes our Beagle, Molly, days to eat one of these chews entirely. I was very skeptical about their durability due to the fact that they are made of yak milk, lime juice, and salt. I was astonished at how durable they actually are and how long they last with our girls.

I would recommend these chews to any pet owner with a dog that likes to chew. They are available in 3 sizes to suit all dogs, from puppies and small breeds to the largest breeds out there. The large chews are about 8″ long, the medium is about 6″ long, and the small size is only about 4″ long.

Dogsee Chew Yak Milk BarsDogsee Chew Yak Milk Bars are hypoallergenic, made with human-grade ingredients, and vegetarian. They contain a whopping 59.2% protein and only 5.2% fat. They are also a great dental chew because their hard consistency scrapes plaque and tartar buildup off the teeth as your pooch gnaws.

Unfortunately, these aren't the cheapest dog chews on the market. You can purchase 1 large Yak Milk Bar on Amazon for $12.99, 2 medium bars for $13.99, and 3 small bars for $8.99. These prices are comparable to other yak chews on the market.

Yak Milk Dog Treats

You can't find these treats on Amazon yet. You'll need to check out the company's website to order them. These treats are 100% natural and made with the same three ingredients as the Yak Milk Bars. They are high in calcium and protein.

Dogsee Chew Yak Milk Dog Treats are human-grade, gluten-free, vegetarian, and hypoallergenic. Because they are only made with yak milk, lime juice, and salt, they are easily digestible and suitable for dogs with sensitive stomach issues or food allergies.

Dogsee Chew Yak Milk TreatsAs you will see in my video review, the difference between Yak Milk Puffy Bars, Crunchies, and Puffies is their size. You can see this difference in the photo on the right, as well.

Puffy Bars are large and only suitable for large or medium breeds. Our Beagle, Molly, doesn't really like this larger size. She prefers the Crunchies, which are suitable for small and medium breeds. Puffies are about the size of a ping pong ball and make great training treats or snacks for extra small dogs.

All of these Dogsee Chew Yak Milk Dog Treats are available in 70-gram packages. Each variety sells for $6.99 per bag on the company's website. For natural, healthy treats that last longer than most, I think this is a very reasonable price.
