Removing dog hair from clothing, upholstery and carpeting is one of the biggest struggles faced by pet parents. There are many tools on the market to help with this chore, and the CarPet is one of the easiest to use. With no sticky sheets to remove or electricity required, the CarPet Dog Hair Remover is simple and effective.
Not only is shed pet hair annoying to find around your home, it can also be harmful to your family's health. Dog hair and dander can cause respiratory trouble, and there are many diseases that can be spread if dog hair gets into your mouth.
If you’ve ever tried to remove dog hair from your furniture or carpet you know how difficult the task can be. There are a number of products on the market that are designed to remove pet hair, but some of them are quite a bother to use. From electronic products that suck hair away to lint roller-like products that require you to remove sheet after sheet of sticky paper, some pet hair remover products just aren't worth the work.
The CarPet Dog Hair Remover was designed to be an easier way to remove shed hair from your clothes, upholstery and carpets. The simple design is not only easy to use, but also easy to clean. But, does it remove pet hair effectively? Or are there better options available?

CarPet Dog Hair Remover Tool Review
This little handheld hair remover measures 4.75″L x 1.5″W x 1.5″H. I have very small hands, and this is still comfortable to hold. In fact, our kids even use the CarPet Dog Hair Remover to get hair off of their belongings.
It consists of a plastic inner tube with a rubber coating. The rubber coating has small bristles on every side that grab the pet hair as you drag it along the material. You can see a display of how well it works in my video review above.
It's not sticky, so it doesn't lead any residue behind on your clothes or furniture.
Because the CarPet Dog Hair Remover is made of rubber, it doesn't pick up any odors. Plus, you can wash it just by running it under warm water. The rubber bristles also work on any type of hair – long, short, thin or wiry.
While it does work on wiry hair, it doesn't work as well on wiry hair as it does on thin hair. Our Labrador has a double coat, with a thin undercoat and a more wiry top coat. The CarPet Dog Hair Remover works better on the undercoat fur and cat hair than it does on her wiry top coat. It will pull the wiry fur, but it just takes a few more passes a little more elbow grease.
Unlike hair removal tools that collect the hair in a small compartment, you'll notice in my video review that you have to remove the hair from the CarPet with your fingers as you go along. It's not the worst thing in the world, but you'll definitely want to wash your hands after.
You can purchase the CarPet Dog Hair Remover on Amazon right now for $9.99. Remember that unlike lint rollers and other similar pet hair removers, this one is reusable and eco-friendly. This is a very affordable product, but you will have to replace it eventually, because the bristles wear down over time.
I've used it dozens of times, and so far the bristles are fine. You should be able to use it for many months before the CarPet needs replacing, so it's still a better value than lint roller-type products that need to be replaced after just a few weeks of use.
