People swiping on Tinder for love this Superbowl Sunday are going to have their options upgraded – by getting to swipe on puppies who need homes.
Are you tuning into Animal Planet’s Puppybowl this Superbowl Sunday?
Are you also on Tinder?
If not, you might want to sign up, even if just for one day. Because the ASPCA and Tinder are teaming up for a special one-time amazing event.
What's the Deal?
This Sunday, for one day only, Tinder users are going to have homeless puppies added to their swipe options!
During Animal Planet’s broadcast of the oh-so-adorable Puppybowl this Sunday at 3PM EST, America will get to enjoy watching incredibly cute puppies compete on a mini football field.

The irresistible puppies are all in need of homes. They come from almost 50 different shelters and rescues located in 25 U.S. states and territories.
The puppies have been rescued from natural disaster areas such as Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico.
This year, the human teams playing are the Eagles and the Patriots. So the puppy teams have been dubbed the “B-eagles” and the “Pup-triots”!
Animal Planet’s Twitter has been featuring prediction videos, where puppies predict the winning teams by seeing who can eat all the food in a labelled bowl first.
The official game will start on Animal Planet at 3PM Eastern time, but the network is kicking things off very early that day at 8AM with programming all about puppies.
So, if you have a Tinder profile, be prepared to start swiping for love that day! And if you don’t – you should get one just for Sunday!
How Does it Work?
Tinder users who are swiping will also have the chance to swipe on each puppy players’ profile, which will show up amidst the human profiles!
If you swipe right on a puppy (and could you honestly swipe left?!), you’ll be taken to the ASPCA’s website, and here you can help them find homes by donating to their rescue.
Because Superbowl Sunday is a highly active day on Tinder, the dating app and the ASPCA thought this would be the best opportunity to expose people to homeless puppies who could use lots of forever love.
Sadly, Tinder isn’t able to match you with an actual puppy to adopt. However, it will list the shelters and their locations on the ASPCA website whose dogs are featured in the Puppybowl. You can then visit their individual websites.
Altruistic Teamwork
What an incredible idea from these two companies. The more social media exposure homeless dogs can get, and the more donations these rescues can get, the more likely these precious pups are to make it to fantastic forever homes. What could be better?
So if you’re not really looking forward to the actual Superbowl this Sunday, you have two amazing puppy-filled events to look forward to instead.
Who knows – maybe you will find the dog of your dreams this weekend!
