Insiders told news sources that Markle is distraught by the circumstances, but is receiving loving support from Prince Harry, who accompanies her on visits to see Guy at the hospital where he is receiving treatment.

During their engagement interview, Markle disclosed that Guy had voyaged overseas with her from LA to the UK to embark on their new life together.

Prince Harry recounted how the corgis loved Markle right away, while he has spent the last 33 years just being barked at.

Markle’s dog Bogart has a surprising origin story when it comes to the story of how he came to be with his mom; Markle has Ellen DeGeneres to thank for the adoption!

While she was living in LA, Markle was in a shelter deciding which dog to adopt. When she stopped to hold Bogart and consider him, DeGeneres happened to walk by with her wife, Portia de Rossi. And in a playful and fortuitous interaction, DeGeneres played the part of matchmaker.

DeGeneres asked Markle if that were her dog. Markle replied that it wasn’t, but DeGeneres insisted that she must take that dog. Markle resisted by saying she was thinking it over, but DeGeneres insisted, “Rescue the dog!” She then asked Markle which name she was considering for the pup.

Just before getting in her car, DeGeneres turned to Markle and again yelled through the window, “Take the dog!” So, Markle did, because Ellen told her so.

Guy is healing up nicely, and is expected to make a full recovery.
