It's no secret that pet food isn't always made with the healthiest ingredients. More and more pet owners are becoming concerned with the quality of the food they are feeding their dogs. Thankfully, many pet food manufacturers understand this desire and are creating products made with natural, organic, healthy and safe ingredients – like Petcurean Gather Free Acres Dog Food.
Many popular, top-selling brands of dog food use harmful ingredients like artificial colors and preservatives, fillers and even toxic chemicals! As dog owners, it's our job to advocate for our pet and make sure that we're feeding a high quality diet that will provide the nutrition that he needs without any of the harmful ingredients that are commonly found in commercial diets.
The ONLY good thing about dog food that uses cheaper quality ingredients is that those savings are often passed on to the consumer. In layman's terms, this means that cheaper quality foods don't cost as much as a high quality product. As the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

Spending a little bit more on a high quality product will actually save you money in the long run. Higher quality food is much more nutrient dense, which means you don't need to feed as much at every meal. Plus, the health benefits of a better diet will definitely save you money on veterinary care in the long run.
At the end of the day, one thing that every pet owner can agree on is that our dogs don't live nearly as long as we'd like them to. While there isn't anything we can do to keep our canine companions around forever, feeding a high quality dog food is likely to extend his lifespan.
But, how do you choose which food is right for your pet. Well, that takes a lot of research and a lengthy conversation with your veterinarian or a canine nutritionist. Once you understand your pet's unique individual nutritional needs, you can look for a high-quality dog food that is made with safe ingredients.
One sure way to feed quality ingredients is to make sure they are organic. Some products (like Petcurean Gather Free Acres Dog Food) use Certified Organic ingredients. This means the ingredients have to meet much stricter guidelines than other products.

Petcurean Gather Free Acres Dog Food Review
Not only is this dog food made with Certified USDA Organic ingredients, it's also fortified with many beneficial nutrients, including:
- DHA and EPA for brain and heart health
- antioxidants to boost the immune system
- omega fatty acids for skin and coat health
Petcurean Gather Free Acres Dog Food has NO GMO's, rendered ingredients, byproducts, antibiotics, growth hormones, artificial preservatives, artificial colors, wheat, corn, soy, grain or gluten. Keep in mind that gluten free dog food is not always grain free, but with this product you don't need to worry about either of those ingredients.
Petcurean also focuses on using sustainable ingredients. They even carry this focus into the packaging of their products. The bag used to contain this dog food is made with 30% plant based ingredients.
In my video guide at the top of this page, you'll see that our dogs really enjoy this kibble! Our Labrador will eat almost anything, but our Beagle is a bit more particular about her meals. I think this food appeals to them especially because of its rich aroma.
As soon as you open the bag, you'll smell the chicken and krill meal used in this food. It is a bit fishy smelling, but it's not overpowering. Our dogs lifted their noses the minute that I opened the food, so I know they were attracted to the smell.
Organic chicken and organic dehydrated chicken are the first two ingredients in this food. Here's a look at the full list:
Organic chicken, organic dehydrated chicken, organic peas, lentils, chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), krill meal, organic flaxseed, blueberries, cranberries, egg shell meal, vitamins (vitamin A supplement, vitamin D3 supplement, vitamin E supplement, inositol, niacin, L-ascorbyl-2-polyphosphate (a source of vitamin C), d-calcium pantothenate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, pyridoxine hydrochloride, folic acid, biotin, vitamin B12 supplement), minerals (zinc proteinate, iron proteinate, copper proteinate, manganese proteinate, calcium iodate, selenium yeast), dried rosemary
As you can see, Petcurean Gather Free Acres Dog Food is filled with healthy ingredients that you can read and pronounce. For me, this is something that I look for in every product that I use for my pet. If I can't pronounce the long name of a chemical or artificial ingredient, I certainly don't want it entering my dog's body.
Aside from the health factor, I also like the fact that these kibbles are very small. They are about 1/3 the size of a dime. This means that this food can be fed to any size dog, and it's also suitable for pets with missing teeth and other dental health issues.
As I mentioned earlier, higher quality ingredients means that the food is more nutrient dense than other products that use lower quality ingredients. That means you don't need to feed your dog as much food to provide him with the nutrients that his body requires.
For Petcurean Gather Free Acres Dog Food, the serving size for a 50-70 pound dog is 3.5-4.5 cups per day.
With that being said, this dog food won't fit into everyone's budget. At that time that I'm writing this review, you can buy a 6-pound bag of Petcruean Gather Free Acres Dog Food on Amazon for $29.95. If you do the math, that's about $5/pound.
You can also get a $5 off coupon by visiting the Petcurean website.
