This doggy chew toy kills the bacteria associated with gum disease and bad breath through the use of micro currents. When your dog closes his mouth around the chew toy, the saliva closes the circuit and the micro current treatment begins.
The company says that if your dog uses this toy several times a week for 10-20 minutes each time, the Zumby will kill 90 percent of the bad bacteria in their mouth. This dog toy is not a substitute for brushing your dog's teeth, but is a great way to keep up with their oral health between brushings.
