Review: MIU Color Deshedding Tool for Dogs

There are many different kinds of dog brushes, and it can be difficult to choose the right one for your pet. If your dog is a heavy shedder, the MIU Color deshedding tool for dogs may be a good choice.

It's likely that you'll need more than one brush in your at-home dog grooming kit. This de-shedding tool is great, but you may also need a slicker brush to remove mats or tangles before de-shedding your dog.

Pet owners are always searching for a way to keep pet hair off their furniture and clothes and out of their homes. It’s certainly no secret that the best way to do this is to provide your dog with regular grooming sessions.

Your dog's skin condition and coat type will dictate the type of grooming he needs and the frequency of your grooming sessions. If you have questions about how often to groom your dog, you can check with your veterinarian or a local dog groomer for advice.

MIU Color Deshedding Tool for Dogs Review

MIU Color Deshedding Tool

This dog deshedding tool can be used on small, medium, and large dogs. It comes in two styles for short/medium or long hair.

MIU Color says this brush can reduce pet shedding by up to 90 percent with just one 15-minute brushing.

One of the best things about this tool is that it can also be used on cats, so this brush will be a versatile tool in your grooming kit.

From personal experience, this brushing tool not only removes loose hair but also leaves behind a smooth and shiny top coat. At first glance, the steel teeth look sharp, but they will not cut or scratch the skin as long as you don’t press down with extreme force.

The 4-inch stainless steel comb quickly and easily removes loose hair from the undercoat. It also comes with a blade cover that will protect the blade after you use it and prevent injury when not in use.

The ergonomic rubber handle is comfortable during long grooming sessions and provides a non-slip grip.

Unlike similar pet hair brushes, the MIU Color deshedding tool for dogs doesn’t have an ejector button to get the loose hair out of the brush. You will have to use your fingers (not that it's really a big deal), but I felt like I should still point that out.

The quality of the brush is similar to more expensive brushes, so you’ll have to decide if the ejector button is worth the extra cost. You can purchase this brush for just $13.89 on Amazon.

In my opinion, this brush is a great value for the price. I would highly recommend it as a versatile addition to your personal grooming toolkit or as an inexpensive gift for the pet owner on your shopping list.
