A stolen puppy in Orrell, Greater Manchester, was finally located and returned to its little owner, after becoming missing for a whole day.
This was after a little girl playing swing in their garden had lost her four-month-old Dachshund puppy, “Dotty,” to a thief at 6:30 pm, April 22.
In GMP Wigan West's appeal post for information on their page, they describe the thief as a mixed-race man in his 30s wearing a black jumper with ‘security' on the front.
The thief entered the garden and swiftly snatched the puppy before running off in an unknown direction.
Furthermore, GMP's Facebook post continued: “If you have any knowledge of this theft, or have any sighting of the dog, please contact GMP on 101 and quote log number 2771-22042023.”
The following day, however, netizens rejoiced when Greater Manchester Police (GMP) chimed positive news on their Facebook page, confirming that the dog had been found.
In their post, GMP Wigan West wrote: “Following on from yesterday's Social Media post regarding the theft of a dog in Orrell, we are happy to confirm that the dog has now been located. Many thanks for sharing the post.”
The GMP Wigan West hasn't provided further details about Dotty's condition since its follow-up announcement.
GMP force also hasn't explained how they found Dotty or updates on the “despicable thief.”
