Best Dog Supplies Deals & Discounts from Amazon’s 12 Days of Deals Campaign

As we're getting closer to Christmas, every online pet supplies retailer tries to take advantage of the shopping season and bring pet owners their largest and best deals and offers on dog supplies.

Amazon, EntirelyPets, and a few other online dog supply stores have been announcing new deals every day on cat and dog products starting last Monday, December 5th.

PetSmart has also recently jumped onto the bandwagon of discounted dog deals.

So if you haven't found any good deals on dog supplies during Black Friday and Cyber Monday, today is yet another chance to find cheap dog supplies before we hit the week of Christmas celebrations.

Best Dog Supplies Deals We Could Find

Amazon just published their 1-day only deals page on pet supplies. Starting early this morning, we've been scouring their pages, hunting for the best deals and discounts on dog supplies to bring to your attention. We've used several tools and apps like Camel Camel Camel to see the price history of each item and whether the deal is actually real, or if it's just a fake “spike up the price, then reduce it” charade.

Below, you'll see some decent dog food deals, discounts on dog gear, and a few other pet supplies items that are worth looking at. Not all of them are great, but if you've been planning to purchase this item before, now may be a good time to seriously consider it. Greenies Dental Dog Treats – Deal of the Day (Discount: 40-70% off)

All of Greenies dental dog treats are discounted today, since they're Amazon's deal of the day products. If you've been buying Greenies treats for dogs before, this may be a good time to stock up on these.

One of the sites I've checked for price history was Camel Camel Camel to see costs prices on Greenies before, and I see that their costs have originally stayed around $18-$19, then there was a slight price hike up to $22, and their current price is around $14, which is a decent discount yet not the best.

Nevertheless, this appears to be a legitimate dog treats deal that's worth taking a look at if you've been planning to purchase Greenies dental dog treats before. If not, then you may want to hold off anyway and see if there's a similar or even better discount on dog treats.

Petcube Camera for Monitoring Dogs – Deal of the Day
Discount: 47% off (now $79, was $149, save $70)

Another legitimate deal I was able to find is this Petcube Camera for dogs, which has been discounted by almost half price. The camera allows you to monitor your dogs at home using 720p HD video quality and a wide-angle lens for a perfect viewing angle. You can see your dogs from anywhere as long as you have your mobile phone with a Petcube App. Their original price used to be around $145-$155, and today they're selling it for $79 on Amazon exclusively. Wisdom Panel 3.0 Breed Identification DNA Test Kit – Deal of the Day
Discount: 32% off (now $54, was $80, save $25)

Last of Amazon's deal of the day choices with not so hefty but a somewhat decent discount – DNA dog test kit from Wisdom Panel.

This is a still popular product for testing your canine's DNA to find out his breed ancestry, although Embark DNA kit for dogs (see our review of Embark DNA here) has created a much more advanced and accurate DNA test kit that works better than Wisdom Panel.

The deal is legitimate, and you can save a few dollars here if all you need is to see your dog's breed history; however, if you want to also learn about your canine's potential diseases and other useful data, I recommend going with Embark.

Nylabone Big Chew Monster Durable Toy for Large Breeds
Discount: 65% off (now $8, was $24, save $15)

The popular Nylabone has jumped into the mix to offer one of their best-selling dog chew toys for large breeds – Turkey Leg Bone. It discourages destructive chewing and helps your pooch satisfy his desire to munch on something. The deal itself is pretty good, with Nylabone dropping its original price by more than half. Note that it's a limited-time offer, meaning that you need to claim the deal, and they will run out of the items at this price before the end of the day.

Furbo Dog Treat Camera
Discount: 30% off (now $174, was $249, save $75)

By now, you should've heard of Furbo, a new pet technology company that released one of the first dog treat dispensing apparatus with a camera inside, which you can control with your iPhone or Android device. Depending on what you're looking to get out of Furbo, it may not be the most useful pet camera, but it's definitely one of the most fun products to have to play with your dogs. It has an HD Wi-Fi camera with night vision and two-way audio for the ultimate dog-treating fun. Right now, they are running a limited holiday sale with 30% off. MidWest Deluxe Bolster Pet Bed for Dogs & Cats
Discount: 36% off (now $34, was $68, save $34)

Probably not the best deal we've seen so far, but for dog owners who are looking to buy a dog bed this holiday season, this may be a good offer.

MidWest Homes for Pets is selling their Deluxe Bolster Pet Bed for Dogs & Cats with a 36% discount at $13.58 a pop (for Amazon Prime members, early access deal).

This is a very simple dog bed, which is a must for nest-loving pets. It doesn't have a lot of give and is closer to a doggy mat, but if that's what you're looking for, then it's a great option for the price. MidWest Life Stages Folding Metal Dog Crate
Discount: 40% off (now $32, was $54, save $22)

Deals on dog crates have been abundant this Christmas season, but if you haven't found a decent dog crate for your Fido or a good price, here's another chance. This folding metal dog crate from MidWest is currently selling for 40 percent off its original price at $32 per dog crate on Amazon. The manufacturer claims that their metal dog crates are designed completely around the safety, security and comfort for dogs. It is a very well-rated crate for dogs that can be set up easily and in seconds, according to other pet owners, does not require tools and can be assembled by anyone. As always, read the reviews before purchasing one.

Armarkat Cozy Pet Bed for Small Dogs
Discount: 61% off (now $11, was $28, save $17)

This is a very affordable dog bed for your toy breed, especially with a current deal. Armarkat normally manufactures pet beds for cats, but some of their items, such as this oval-shaped bed, can work for small dogs, too.

The bed looks good and is relatively comfortable, even though it doesn't have a lot of give. It's a 100% poly fill, wrapped with faux suede and some velvet for it to look good.

I would say for the price, this is a great deal, but remember that in this case, you get what you pay for. Reviews of this dog bed are very positive, and many pet owners seem to be happy with the purchase – for $11 a pop, you can't go wrong.

Advance No Bark Collar with No Harm Shock Dog Control
Discount: 79% off (now $17, was $80, save $63)

I don't know why, but after doing a lot of research, I noticed that anti-bark dog collars are one of the most popular items in pet supplies during the holiday deals season. Out of all the options, I picked this one since it had the best deal; however, don't be fooled by a large discount percentage – even though it is cheaper than its usual price, the seller has originally hiked the price up before lowering it for the holiday season. Nevertheless, this anti-bark dog collar is currently sold at 79% off its original price for $17 a piece. I'm not familiar with this no bark dog collar, but the seller claims that it has a “No Harm Shock Dog Control” option as well as tons of sensitivity options to avoid harming your Fido. Please read the reviews before purchasing.

Richell Wood Freestanding Pet Gate
Discount: 38% off (now $77, was $125, save $47)

This is the dog supplies deal I was actually very excited to discover, mostly because pet gates (especially those quality ones from Richell) are always very expensive, and they rarely have deals or drop their prices at all.

So, hopefully, you're excited about these Richell Wood Freestanding pet gates for dogs, which are now selling at a 38 percent discount for $77 per gate. These are probably some of the best pet gates for home: they look good, they work well, they are sturdy, and they will last a long time.

Take Home Message on Dog Supplies Deals

Unfortunately, after researching every other item on Amazon's Pet Supplies deals page, I have found that most of those were so-called “fake” deals because of the intentional price spike. The above-mentioned dog supplies deals, especially the “Deal of the Day” options, proved to be the best legitimate deals with good discounts that are worth taking a look at.

The rest of what we've seen had either a minuscule discount that's not much different from everyday prices or have had their prices really spiked up in early December, specifically for this deal season (meaning that the prices will go down late December or early January).

Remember that Amazon and other retailers continue to update their deals page daily with more options, and I will see if I can post anything else.
